Being sick is just about the worst thing ever. I was coughing and had some light fever last night, but I think I am okay today.My mom called last night, and I was telling her about being sick.
She asked if she should drive up and take care of me. It's sweet of her, but the truth is that a little bit of coughing and fever to me could potentially be a week-long battle for Mom. She's not as spry as she used to be.
"You need some cough syrup," she said.
"Probably," I said.
"And not JACK DANIELS EITHER" she cautioned.
I mean, everyone knows RUM is for coughs. Get with the program, mom!
